Weight Loss Programs In Birmingham, AL

How it Works

Our 4 Phase Approach

For best results, the patient needs to commit to all four phases of the program. Think of the program as one long stretch of highway where the road conditions and driving rules change along the way, but the road keeps going. There is a definite starting point, but an ambiguous “finish line” because weight management is a life-long process. We are your local company for Weight Loss Programs in Birmingham AL.

Screening

The medical evaluation includes lab work, EKG, InBody composition analysis, history and physical with the doctor. Patients will then have orientation of the program by a dietitian.

Reducing

Patients begin to learn and practice weight management skills with the help of the Weigh to Wellness staff. This stage the patient experiences active weight loss.

Adapting

Once the patient reaches their goal weight, the journey doesn’t end there. This phase varies for each patient depending on if they are using their own foods or using protein supplements, patients will gradually transition back into eating grocery meals. If the patient was not using the programs protein supplements then they will gradually increase caloric intake.

Maintenance

It is important that the patient stay engaged in a structured weight maintenance program with tools designed to help them prevent relapse and weight gain. The S.T.A.R. (STEPS TO AVOID REGAINING) Maintenance Plan is a creative, supportive plan and it is FREE for your lifetime.

During your initial consultation, we will be able to determine which plan would be most conducive to your lifestyle. There are no contracts or sign up fees, and patients may change programs as needed.
